AMERIKAN KAOS Releases Second Single “I’m Sorry” from All That Jive

Today, December 4th 2025, sees the release of the 2nd single off the 2nd AMERIKAN KAOS album, ‘All That Jive’.

Jeff Waters himself has described “I’m Sorry” saying this:

“One of my favorite songs, I really like Stu’s singing on this one, he rules on this one.

This is where we used the, we called it the Block Patton voice, which means he mixed his one voice that we liked, decided on, that was his style for this record, mixed with a little bit of that feel of Faith No More’s Mike Patton, because he’s got this really crazy kind of tone and attitude, and we really liked that for this record.

So, guitar players, I liked using the Telecaster and the Strat, which is for me, I use flying V’s normally, so this was a cool, different way to do it.

Different picks, different strings, different amps. Tried to be two different people when I was playing. And this is another, there’s common themes on this record, another sort of devil, evil woman, kind of in a smiling way.

About, you know, it’s not exactly the most original and poetic kind of lyrics on this one.

It’s more like somebody with tunnel vision that can only see the physical beauty in someone and try to sort of block out the personality or the narcissism or whatever. I mean, some of us know people like that, Instagram or TikTok or whatever, people that really want to present something that’s not real or that’s not really them.

And people that use looks as a weapon. But in this song, it’s about the person in the relationship saying, “okay, I’m sorry, but I’m out of here”. It’s not, I’m sorry to apologize for doing something wrong.

It’s, “I’m sorry, but I’m out of here”. That’s a very Canadian way to say it. But I love the lyrics in the song.”

On April 4th Metal Department released the sophomore album from AMERIKAN KAOS, ‘All That Jive’.

The 3rd and final in the trilogy of AMERIKAN KAOS albums, ‘The Sheeple Swing’, will be released in March of 2026.

AMERIKAN KAOS of course is the secret love child of guitar virtuoso JEFF WATERS (best known from ANNIHILATOR), which he has been working on since 2019. Amerikan Kaos marks a significant shift in the musical journey of Jeff Waters. With a career spanning decades and numerous albums, Jeff embarks on a new project that promises to blend a variety of musical influences, transcending the boundaries he experienced with Annihilator. The challenge for Jeff was to create a unique sound, distinct from his influences and past works. The idea of writing music outside the Thrash and Heavy Metal domain was daunting yet exciting. The project began to take shape with an eclectic mix of songs, each reflecting different musical styles, from Pop to Heavy Metal, and everything in between (as the new album testifies to). Jeff’s vision for Amerikan Kaos expanded into a trilogy, each album showcasing different styles and featuring diverse line-ups and vocalists. This ambitious plan stemmed from his desire to write across multiple genres without being confined to a single style.
