THE PUNK ROCKERS WERE RIGHT

(Waters)

When I was young and in high school Listening to Sabbath and Priest There were a bunch of punk rockers I thought, at the time, they were freaks

But as it turns out, the punk rockers, they were right They talked about the system, corruption and our rights We had a blast, had so much fun but took it for granted If we’d only seen the seeds that they had planted

Now the world is out of season Watching things without a reason Standing by, allowing treason But we need to wake up or we’re gonna go down

Dungeons and Dragons, banging our heads, energy Songs of cars and chicks and steel, fun, generally Some of what they told us was comin’, but we didn’t care So guess where we are, we’re already there
